What is happening with the centre?

Region Group, owner of Pakenham Central Marketplace is embarking on a project to improve the centre, reinforcing its role in providing essential services to locals, with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles.

 

The project enhancements will include works to update and refresh the centre’s existing interior and exterior façade, furniture, and wayfinding. Plus, improvements to the landscaping and mall furnishings. There will also be improvements made to the centre amenities and the inclusion of a new children’s play area.

 

What sort of activity will be undertaken during construction?

To deliver the exciting transformation of Pakenham Central Marketplace, reconfiguration works need to be undertaken. We understand that this will cause disruption and we are taking all steps we can to minimise this. ​

 

How long will the disruptions last?

Construction will start from October 2024 and stagger until all elements are complete by approximately March 2025.

 

How much will this impact customers?

Pakenham Central Marketplace will remain open and operating throughout the planning and construction periods. We will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.​


How will customer access to the centre be affected during construction?

Access to the centre will not be disrupted during this period. If there are disruptions, these will be communicated to all retailers and customers in advance.

 

How will these changes be communicated to customers?

Customers will be updated on the ongoing changes via the centre’s website, social media channels and in-centre signage.
